Veterinary service
One of our major aims was to open a veterinary clinic, this has now been achieved with an added bonus. Our new veterinary clinic serves not just the rescue but the whole community and our new surgical unit is also providing neutering & surgical procedures too. All the facilities are open to all pet owners at charity rates and are non means tested so every one benefits from our affordable veterinary care service.
The upgrading of equipment is on going, specialist items are still required & sponsors or benefactors large or small will be rewarded by plaques in the unit, information available on request.

Pet Rescue

Special work programmes / courses.
Working within our community helping people, and saving pets.
Placements are provided for a wide range of people who wish to work with animals; we have placements for long term unemployed to enhance their skills. Others include people with learning difficulties, back to work after illness or injury, active retirement, students on animals care collage courses, schools work experience pupils, general volunteers, placements for the volunteers bureau.
A new course commencing shortly, for school aged children that may require a reason or focus in direction, by taking the responsibility of care / training of a dog for a six week period under supervision. At the end of the scheme a show for teachers and family, where a certificate of achievement will be presented. This scheme may also be made available to adults. We hope within the next 3 years to be appointed a full educational training centre for apprentices and NVQ qualifications. Could you help with these programmes?

It is vital to provide the facilities for education and public access to information, training and veterinary care for the benefit of all pets. Animal welfare can be achieved and the stray, unwanted, mistreated pets we now care for will find good homes. One day we will all be truly animal lovers, with responsible owners there will be no need for rescues but until that day we need your support.
